Yoqutjon Rajabov was born on September 27, 1973, in the city of Chirchiq, Tashkent region. He studied at secondary school No. 21 named after G'.G'ulom in Chirchiq, and from the 2nd grade, he studied the chang instrument at the Hamza Music School.

In 1988, he studied in the folk instruments department at the Hamza Music College in Tashkent. In 1992, he went for mandatory military service. While studying at school, Yoqutjon Rajapov consistently won top places in events held at school, district, and city levels.

In 1995, Yoqutjon Rajapov entered the Tashkent Higher Military Border Guard School and graduated from this institution in 1999. During these years (1998-2002), he studied at the wind instruments faculty of the M. Uygur Institute of Culture. He began his creative career in 1996 with the song "Azizam". Both the lyrics and music of this song are the singer's own creation.

His hit tracks are "Kuz yomg'iri", "Sevgilim", "Taqdir", and "Ota yetim bo'larkan". Currently, Yoqutjon Rajapov has gifted nearly 70 songs, over 10 music videos, and 3 albums to his fans. The singer collaborates with poets such as Ibrohim Umarov, Ibrohim Jiyanov, Halima Axmedova, and poet-composer Dilshod Axmad-Shox, as well as composers Aziz Xolmurodov, Shamsiddin Xolmurod, Uchqun Sharipov, and Axmadjon Xojimatov.
